Thomas has been an integral part of Rocky Mountain’s history, shaping the sport with his style, skill, and dedication. His contribution to freeride mountain biking is undeniable, and his impact will continue to inspire riders for years to come.


I watched this kid rise up through the North Shore MTB scene to become one of the world's most talented, and respected riders. He would never tell you that though, Thomas is the kind of humble that would say sorry to you as he's pulling your jersey over your head and feeding you body shots, pure Canada style. If you were ever lucky enough to follow him riding a bike, you would instantly be a Vanderham fan. So buddy, thank you for all the great times that we've had on the bike, and remember, just like that old Element video in 2012: "gotta save something for the next ridel—Wade Simmons

1. Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (BIA):
   Dieses Gesetz ermöglicht es Unternehmen und Einzelpersonen, einen Proposal (einen Schuldenregelungsplan) vorzulegen. Während des Prozesses sind sie vor rechtlichen Maßnahmen durch Gläubiger geschützt. Ziel ist es, eine Einigung mit den Gläubigern zu erzielen, ohne sofort Insolvenz anmelden zu müssen.
   
2. Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA):
   Dieses Gesetz gilt hauptsächlich für größere Unternehmen mit Schulden von über 5 Millionen CAD. Es bietet ähnliche Schutzmaßnahmen wie das BIA, erlaubt es den Unternehmen jedoch, flexibler und umfangreicher zu restrukturieren. Während des Schutzzeitraums können Unternehmen ihre Geschäftstätigkeit fortsetzen, während sie mit Gläubigern an einer Lösung arbeiten.
   

• Ziel: Den Schuldnern Zeit verschaffen, um finanzielle Probleme zu lösen, ohne sofort Insolvenz anmelden zu müssen.
  
• Schutz vor Gläubigern: Während der Schutzperiode können Gläubiger keine rechtlichen Schritte einleiten, Vermögenswerte beschlagnahmen oder Forderungen durchsetzen.
  
• Plan oder Restrukturierung: Der Schuldner muss normalerweise einen detaillierten Plan vorlegen, wie er seine Schulden begleichen oder restrukturieren will.
  
• Aufsicht: Der Prozess wird von einem lizenzierten Treuhänder oder einem Insolvenzverwalter überwacht, der sicherstellt, dass alles rechtskonform abläuft.
